Salam! Alhamdulillah we almost reach the end of the year! We've made it!

The second half of the year has been so amazing, masyaAllah! I'm loving every single moment of it.

We've already go through the first half of the year. Now, it's time for some of the highlights, lessons and my favourites for the second half of the year.

HIGHLIGHTS

July - Raya and wedding (Hazirah, Alin and Je) vibes, went to Being Me Conference with Kakak. It's the month of celebration and spending time with family and friends.

August - I went to Sister of Deen Meet Up, Panggung Hujan Bakawali di Rumah Tuhan and Aida Alin KL Meet Up with Zahidah. I went to Kursus Asas Perundangan dan Hak-Hak Wanita alone. My sister in law got engaged and my parents in law went to Hajj. I went to Calm Birth Calm Baby Seminar, Royal Floria Putrajaya and Tanah Akhirku Teater with B. Productive month for me! It was so exhausting but fun!

September - I went to Sister of Deen Gear Up at Taman Botanical KL with Zahidah, went to pedicure with my sisters and went to visit Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia with B. We had steamboat for Bangah's farewell and KFry for Emi's farewell. Went to Ain's long call, my cousin's wedding, sending off Bangah to England and Emi to Egypt. Went to Hatin and Khaliq's wedding at Bidok with B and Dayah. Organize Sabrina's birthday party. Balancing between two family and friends.

October - Celebrated Hanis' birthday at TGIF. Finally khatam my Quran. I'm starting to slow down a little bit. No more talk. It's all about baby's preparation. Wash baby's clothes, give New Dad Kit to B, he gave me a scavenger hunt surprise, then we went to PD for foodhunt. Awin got engaged and Teera's wedding. Celebrate my mother, sister and brother in laws birthday. Managed to finish two puzzles before deliver!

November - My baby's born and it's confinement month! Had a wonderful time being pampered but struggling really hard because I was in so much pain after giving birth. We had a new born photoshoot at our home. A lot of people come to visit us. It's all about recovering, healing and bonding.

December -  Confinement month, Azim got engaged, Chot got engaged. I'm adjusting to motherhood. Trying to get back to my normal routine again. InsyaAllah will be going to Kudo and Usamah's wedding this weekend.

It's almost the end of the year. This year I have quet a slow reading journey. I read a total of 9 books and 3 unfinished books this year, which equivalent to 1,767 pages (actually more, I can't find Samurai Melayu in goodreads) this year. Targeted 15 books but I managed to read only 9 including 2 kids books, 2 poetry books, 2 Malay novels and 3 non-fiction books. Nevertheless, my reading journey has improved from last year despite being busy pregnant and taking care of my newborn and stuff. 😂

  1. Dork Diaries Book 1: Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life (Dork Diaries, #1) by Rachel Renée Russell
  2. Surihati Encik Pembunuh by Hilal Asyraf
  3. The Power (The Secret, #2) by Rhonda Byrne
  4. Hujan Bakawali di Rumah Tuhan II by Karim Mohd, Umila Rahman, Adam Hazin, Rachmat Hidayat
  5. Samurai Melayu by Hilal Asyraf
  6. Unshakeable: How to be Confident When You're Nervous by Aiman Azlan
  7. Nota Parenting Ohsem by Taufiq Razif
  8. Hujan Bakawali di Rumah Tuhan I by Wani Ardy, Mosyuki Borhan, Karl Agan, Aisyah Rais
  9. Rasulullah saw pernah bercerita by Ustaz al Kautsar bin Hidzir
My unfinished books 😂

I pray next year will be an amazing reading year for me! ✨ I really can't wait for 2019 and to read other books that I have in my shelf.  I'm going to try to expand my reading genre next year.

Hope you have a wonderful reading year too!

Our 1st Anniversary 🌸

21 December 2018

Assalamualaikum and hye everyone!

This year anniversary was a tough one for us. I was still in my confinement, so there is no celebration obviously. What make it worst is all of us were kinda sick on that day. I was in real pain. 😭

This is how we celebrated our anniversary.

Early morning, baby went to Klinik Kesihatan for jaundice check up. Poor baby need to get an injection every two days. But she is a strong girl. Alhamdulillah everything was fine. At the same time, nurses came to my house to have my 20 days check up. This was where the nightmare started. The nurse told me that my jahitan luka bersalin dah tercabut dan tak cantik. So I have to go to clinic or hospital immediately. That's why I have been feeling so much pain since the beginning of the week. 😭

So at the evening we went to Megaklinik Zahran to check. This was where it started to get worst. The doctor said I have to go to the hospital, nak jahit semula luka tu katanya. 😭 I cried really hard on our way to the hospital. The trauma from the first stitches on my labour day was still real. What makes it worst is B is not feeling well also. 😓 Both Mommy and Walid were not well.

Luckily alhamdulillah, when we arrived at PPUKM, the doctor did the check up and told me that I don't need to have any further stitches, I just need to eat antibiotic and to clean my wound at Klinik Kesihatan every two days. Fuhhh

And that's how we celebrated our 1st anniversary. 😂

Happy anniversary B! 💙 Marrying you is the best decision I've ever made. Thank you for being so supportive and understanding from the very beginning of the marriage to my pregnancy journey and until now.

Now I'm sure you gonna wake up every night to burp our baby, change her diapers and bath her everyday. 👀

I love you so much and I thank Allah everyday for giving me such a wonderful husband and partner for life. We can do this sayang 💪🏻💞You’re the answer to my prayer 💙 Happy 1st anniversary, love! Here’s to grow old together & more love, happiness, memories and adventures! 🙌🏻💞✨

4 Things To Do Before 2019

17 December 2018

Assalamualaikum and hye everyone!

2019 is right around the corner, and today I'm going to list 4 things I usually do before the start of the new year.

1. Reflect On The Year
- I usually take my own sweet time to look back at how's the year has been. I usually write in on journal or type it on my blog. I'll have fun remembering all the memories of the year, jot down the year's highs and lows, find the highlight of the year, reflect in what I could improve next year and ask myself a bunch of other reflection questions. I just google or find those reflection questions on the pinterest or youtube.

2. Clean and Declutter
- New year is usually the time for a new space! New year, new me, new breath. I love to spring clean my room every now and then. I'll put aside things that I'm not using, I no longer fit or no longer give me joy. I'll give my unwanted things a new home. Whether I'll give it to my sisters or niece, sell them, recycle or donate them to a local charity. You know what they said, one man's trash is another man's treasure. 💙

3. Wrap Up Unfinished Business
- Finish my year strong! Finish the abandoned project, the books that I wanted to read, my goals and resolution at the beginning of the year. Do my best and finish all of them! (Or at least some of them)

4. Start Now
- I'll start thinking of my next year goals and resolutions and start doing them now. Start my new habit or project before the new year started. Start small, baby steps. We usually wait until new year to start something, but the truth is, we don't have to wait for new year to start something. By the time it is new year, you could just continue what you are doing. After all, the best time to start something is NOW (and not new year).

Newborn Photoshoot 📸

14 December 2018

Salam and hello everyone!

One thing I forgot to include in my 20 List Of Things To Do Before Baby Arrives 👶 is to find a newborn photoshoot! Oh my God, how can I forgot! Well everyone has their own priority, photoshoot is one of mine. 😂If you knew me, you know how much I love photography, videos and photobooth. My top priorities in any events.

6 days after I deliver my baby, my sister reminded me to have a newborn photoshoot. The photoshoot is only suitable for newborn ages from 2-20 days. Some of them accept until day 14 only. Mind you, we actually have to book before the baby was born. But I totally forgot about it. Thank God after survey just two instagram, one of them actually have a slot for me on day 8.

I'm in love with the photoshoot! They're so professional. They will come to your house and provide all the props. They even have free family portraiture. However, they only available on weekends or public holiday only. Check out their instagram, Mea Edie Pictures and Mea Edie Pictures Newborn. They even shoot for Nora Danish and Lan Kristal. 😛 I'm the same level as celebrities now guys. 😂

Here are some of the pictures.

I was in pain for the next two weeks because I was too active during the photoshoot. 😂 But it was worth it.

May you grow up to be healthy and happy person precious.

Love and kisses,
Mommy 💙

Birth Plan 🖊👶

10 December 2018

Assalamualaikum, hye guys!

Birth plan is a document that tells your doctor and the hospital staff how you'd like your labour and delivery to progress.
I deliver my baby at PPUKM. Since it is a semi-government hospital, I can't really choose my own birth plan. However, lucky for me, PPUKM already have their own specific birth plan which is kinda the same with what I wish to do in my labour room.

1. Immediate Skin to skin
2. Breastfeeding Immediately
3. Save placenta
4. No medication

I know that sometimes the best plans may fall through in the heat of moment. It is still good to come prepared. You can use one of these printable birth plans to outline your delivery

  1. The Bump Printable Birth Plan
  2. Just Mommies Birth Plan
  3. Printable Birth Plan & bonus Hospital Bag checklist
  4. Babies Online Simple Birth Plan
  5. Parent 24 6 Page Birth plan
  6. BabyFit Online birth plan

I'm Back! 💙

Assalamualaikum and hello!

It has been awhile since I last posted anything in this blog. Confinement has been a bless! It was tough at the beginning, but I'm starting to get the hang of it after awhile. I've been so bless with my parents, husband, family and friends. 💙 God knows how much I appreciate each one of them.

I'm starting to enjoy my confinement, finally! I'm so sad that it's going to end soon. Less than 10 days now. 😭 Baby is doing so well, I'm so proud of her! I'm starting to have my me time and I can be productive again. I can now update my blog, reading, watching Youtube and edit my videos.

Anyway, this is just a quick update. Since I finally have time to do work, I'm going to start posting at least 3 post every week starting next week. Please pray for my consistency. I'm still experimenting on my blog to find what works best for me. But for now, I will stick with these:

  • On Monday I'm going to post a list or collection of something.
  • Wednesday is my writing days.
  • And finally Friday will be for events or notes.
I'm also going to upload a video every Friday, hopefully, on my Youtube channel. I don't have any specific format for my videos yet. I just wanted to experiment all kind of format, and improve my editing skills until I find a taste that I like. 52 weeks equals to 52 videos. I hope I can create around 55 videos next year including the past videos which I haven't edited yet.

With all these stuff going on, I hope I can slow down my social medias a bit. I've been really addicted to them for awhile since I have nothing else to do other than laying down on my bed and scrolling down my phone when I'm not breastfeeding. 😓

That's all! Have a wonderful Friday! 🌸

💙 Love and prayers,
AS
