#3 Mom | Gratitude Journal 🌠

23 January 2019

Salam lovelies.

Today I want to talk about my superwoman, mak. ðŸŒ¸

My mom cooks the most delicious foods ever, I grow up eating delicious food, thank you mak! She can bake and even decorate the cake! She can sew clothes, make smocking dresses, gardening and literally everything that an ideal mother should be able to do. She makes everything look so easy to do! She's kinda sets high standard of how-to-be-a-mother. #pressured I hope I can be half as good as her.

My mom is someone who will tell directly to her daughters, "YOU HAVE PIMPLES ON YOUR FACE" when obviously they know. ðŸ˜‚ She is someone who will tell her daughter, "Just bear with it. That's normal." when her daughter was having a contraction pains. #toughlove Words is not her language of love. ðŸ˜‚ My mom is like the typical Asean Mom. She doesn't really show her loves with words but trough action.

I was a grumpy teenager. I always fight with my mom. I'm sorry I was a terrible teenager. Sorry mak. We never really say sorry, but my mom will cook meals for me and everything will be back to normal. ðŸ’™ I have an awesome childhood mak, thank you.

Now that I'm older, married and have a baby, I'm beginning to understand my mom better. I'm closer to her than ever. I know I'm not her favourite child (although she will never admit it and always argue that she loves everyone equally), but we can have a decent conversation now and I can start telling her secrets. ðŸ’™ I am so thankful for my mom.

I pray for the highest Jannah for you, Mak. May you always be healthy and happy. I know I don't really post about you in my social medias, because that's just not my language of love, (and also, you, kakak and kakchik will bahan me later). but I love you a lot! Thank you for always making me feels safe and home. You feels like home Mak. You are my home. ðŸ’™
