#3 Ayah | Gratitude Journal 🌠

Salam lovelies.

It's finally the time to talk about my first love, my superhero, and the world greatest dad, ayah. πŸŒΈ

Since I'm the youngest from my siblings, so you can pretty much expect that I'm the most spoil and manja with my dad. I am (not-so-self-proclaim) her favourite child. 😜 My dad is just like my mom, he is an ideal example on how-a-father-should-look-like. Thus, he kinda put a high bar on the qualities of how my husband (before I married) should be.

My dad is a handyman, he can fix almost everything, he love gardening so we have  a lot of fruits and vegetables in our home, he used to drive me anywhere I want without I'm telling him the direction, he is so brave he used to catch or kill any animals or insects like bats, rats, cockroach. He is so organize, confident, possess a quality of a true leadership. He has the kindest heart; cats, plants, kids and children love him. Every of his grandchild is "cucu atok". He is my role model, I look up to him very much.

During my school years, my dad is the one who pick me up from school. Its a habit to tell him everything in the car. I rant about my teachers, friends and crush to him. And I always share secrets with him and said "don't tell mom". Since I used to always fight with my mum, dad will always back me up. 😝

My dad is someone who will give me things that I needed rather than what I want. Thank you Ayah. πŸ’™ Thank you for loving me a lot and made me who I am today.

I pray for the highest Jannah for you, Ayah. May you always be blessed with lots of rezk, may you live a long life, and may you always be healthy, happy and content. πŸ’™

25 February 2019

Salam. Hye guys!

This topic come at the right time for me. I think I've been slacking off a little bit these past few weeks. I had my husband's family day at Fraser Hill last week and then this weekend I had a my father's family day at Sungai Besar. I got not enough rest in between those two family days. I was overwhelm and kinda lost track a bit. I hate being unproductive and tired all the time. So here is my pick-me-up-and-get-back-on-your-feet-back kinda list.

5 THINGS THAT MOTIVATE ME (ALMOST IMMEDIATELY)
  1. Organize my space - Always check my physical environment if I started to feel blergh. You know, clean space equals to clean mind.
  2. Do my laundry - I love the smells of a fresh laundry and folding all my A-List T-shirts.
  3. Write my journal and planner - I really really need to find my time to reflects and planning my days. It helps sorting and clear my mind a lot.
  4. Watching youtube - Watching motivated content keeps me motivated and inspired. This really helps me a lot.
  5. Take a long shower or bath.
What's your pick-yourself-up list?

Hye guys!

Guess what? I successfully watch a movie in cinema after a very long time. Fuhh. I'm currently fully breastfeeding my baby, so B, being a sweetheart he's always be,  encourage me to go watch a movie with my sisters, BIL, nieces and nephew while he take care of Nafeesa, in the same mall. Thank you love!

🎒Plot : πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ I love it! All three movies have different story line, all three are fresh and this one is more mature and emotional. I cried. Well, I always cried watching a movie haha

πŸŽ₯Animation : πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ Toothless is so cute, and white toothless is double cute!

🌠Values : πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ Amaze me how an animation can give so much values in less than 2 hours.

🌠Total Star : 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Yes, I'm a excited about this movie, because duhhh, told you it's one of my favourite animation ever!

Now, lets move on with Netflix review. Oh my gosh, did you guys know that Netflix series and movies are getting better and BETTER. Where should I start?

B and I have started to enjoy series together! After You, we found this series that we both enjoy watching together. I always love superheroes movies / fantasy / super power kinda story. And B love it too! Finally! Something we can both watch and discuss together. I've been reading everyone's tweet about this series, so I kinda expect a lot from it. And it doesn't disappoint me! So yeay!

πŸ‘₯Acting : I love everyone in this movie! Everyone's character is different and on point. But I don't know them before, maybe they're all new?

🎒Plot : I love each and every episode! But again, why do all Netflix series have to end this way? It's like all new episode all over again. And I have to wait for season 2 for like, how LONG? πŸ˜“

🌠Total Star : 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I'm not sure since when I like to watch this kind of documentary, but it is good! Trying really hard to understand why and how he killed all those people, with those charming personality and doesn't even have any slightest guilt.

🌠Total Star : I'm not sure whether it is appropriate to give any star to the killer. πŸ˜“

Other movies that I watched this month are:

1. Sing - Re-watching this cause my niece put it on the tv. πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ

2. Okja - I was expecting a lot more from this movie cause people said this movie is very sad so I was expecting to cry a lot! But I just kinda cried a little. πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ

3. The Star is Born -  I see Lady Gaga differently now. πŸ˜‚ 🌟🌟🌟

4. Bohemian Rhapsody - It was good! Never really knew about Queen before, although when I watched the movie I can actually recognize most of the song. πŸ˜‚πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ

See you next month!

GLQ - Surah Al-Mulk

15 February 2019

Salam, hye guys!

So here is an update. Last month I started to join a WhatsApp group for hafazan which is called Girls Love Quran. So for the first month I choose surah Al-Mulk! I've been intending to hafaz this surah since my degree years because Mas said that she hafaz this surah because she used to read it every night during boarding school. As a non-boarding school kid, I'm like, whattt? I didn't know we need to read this surah every night. That's how I get to know this surah. And here is the perfect opportunity for me to memorize, understand and recite the surah every night from now on. Choosing this surah, I do not regret at all.

Here are some of the gems I got from the surah that I shared in the group. Might as well posted it here.

What Kind of Legacy Are You Leaving the World? 🌟

13 February 2019

Hye guys!

To be honest, I've been avoiding this topic for quite sometimes. Thinking about legacy makes me scared. It means I have to think about death. What will happened after I die?

But then, after doing some research (I mean Googling), this one particular post makes me realized that thinking about legacy it is not about death, it is really about life and living.

That said, this article is not about death. Although thinking about our legacy may remind us of death, it is really about life and living. It is about putting our life into perspective—making conscious choices about the kind of life we want to live and the legacy we wish to leave behind. HERE
So I want to ask you to join me doing this exercise. Write it up somewhere, in your journal, blog or even phone. Knowing what kind of legacy you want to leave behind is actually the backward ways to know what is the purpose of life. My answers are kinda private, I might share it later, but not now.

πŸ’‘ Journal Prompt & Exercises:
  1. Make a list of morals, values, and beliefs that have been important to you throughout your life.
  2. What have you dreamed of doing that you didn’t do yet?
  3. What of your perceptions, knowledge, experience, positive impact and wisdom would you leave as a gift for others? For your children, grandchildren, or best friends?
  4. What do my family members and close friends think of me and what will they remember most about me?
  5. How would you like to remember your Self?

Whatever it is, I pray that I die in good, and everyone will remember the good things about me.

Till then, xoxo

My 2019 Vision Board 🌟

11 February 2019

Salam hye guys!

I’ve been postponing to actually do my 2019 vision board for awhile. This is due to the fact that I’m still trying to figure out my theme and what I really want this year. At first, I wanted this year to be my growth year, both career and personal. But things happened and I have decided that I want to postpone my career growth to next year. So this year is all about personal, relationships, spiritual and hopefully creativity and skills growth ✨

My 2019 vision board is inspired by Kak Sumi’s life πŸ˜‚ Thank you Kak Sumi, you are one of my  favourite idol! I’m too lazy to edit using my laptop so I just use photogrid apps in my iPhone. Fully utilize whatever is free. πŸ˜‚

I want this year to be the growth for my relationships, marriage, daughter, family and friends. Endless celebrations, weddings and vacations. πŸš™πŸ‘°πŸ»

Brunei airport cause insyaAllah we’re going to Brunei in Ramadhan. ✈️

Wardrobe declutter, it’s all about declutter and what’s spark joy for me this year! πŸŒŸ

Zumba and marathon, trying to get back to healthy lifestyle. πŸƒπŸ»‍♀️

Journaling, reading book, read and memorize the Quran, watch lots of youtube and netflix and listening to podcast and sign up for free classes. I want to fully utilize all the free things, apps and classes before I started to invest for myself next year.

Last but not least, I’m planning to have an aqiqah plus birthday party for my baby this year! With the Frozen theme! ❄️

This one I made specifically for my iPhone lockscreen’s wallpaper. ⭐️ I’m loving it!

May this year be awesome year for you and me!

Bye!

Optimistic | Words of Wisdom 🌟

06 February 2019

Salam and hye guys!

This episode of WOW will be a super short one.

Lets start. Optimist. When I was in Form 1, my class name was Optimist. That was the first time I learn that word. And from that moment, I've always like that word and I always associate myself with being an optimist person.
optimistic /Ι’ptΙͺˈmΙͺstΙͺk/
adjective - hopeful and confident about the future.
synonyms: cheerful, cheery, positive, confident, hopeful, sanguine, bullish, buoyant, bright.

Optimism for me is the belief in Qada and Qadar. Thus, optimism is an act of worship.
Qadar is Allah’s knowing of everything in pre-eternity, what happened and what will happen whether good or bad from pre-eternity to past eternity, their time, place and characteristics, and His ordaining and determining them.

Qada is His creation of things and events when their time is due based on His pre-eternal knowledge and ordaining.
When I was in my down year, I forgot to be optimist. I forgot to put my trust in Allah. I used to be very worry about the future until I forgot on what's important, the presence. I used to worry whether I would get married or not, whether I will find a job, worry about losing people that I love. The thing is, for every minute I am worry about the future, I lose sixty seconds of happiness. So I started to learn to do my best in everything I do, I embrace the present and I let go of my worry as I put my trust in Allah. Alhamdulillah, life has been pretty good after that.
πŸ’™ What does it take to be an Optimist?
  1. Focus on solutions, not problems.
  2. Look for opportunities, not excuses.
  3. Keep your eye on the bigger picture.
  4. Develop creative thinking and innovative ways of doing things.
  5. Trust in Allah for results.
  6. Make lots of Doas.
  7. Surround yourself with positive people.
  8. Be present & embrace the moment.

πŸ’‘ Journal Prompt & Exercises:

1. Make your list of Doas
2. Vivid vision exercise - imagine your life 3 years from now & your ideal day

If we believe in Allah's plan, Qada and Qadar, insyaAllah our heart will be at peace. πŸ’™ May all of us find peace and blessings of Allah.

πŸ’™ Love and prayers,
A
